Stonehenge
Stonehenge is a great option for a day trip from Bath, England. Stonehenge is an ancient megalithic stone circle in England, located north of Salisbury in the Wiltshire countryside. It is believed to date back around 5000 years to circa 3000 BC. It is a pilgrimage and spiritual site for modern Druids. A rope marks a path around the stones that visitors can follow. However, on the Summer and Winter Solstice, the site is opened so that Druids can worship there. On those days, the site is also open to the public so that they can walk amongst the stones and observe the Druids' ritual. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
