Bruges - A Beautiful Medieval City

I was in Belgium for a few days in late Spring. A great day trip from Brussels is the medieval city of Bruges. The town of Bruges was formed in the 12th century and eventually grew to be a city. There were lots of beautiful historic buildings along the canal and the cruise went under the Meebrug Bridge - the oldest surviving bridge in Brugge dating to the 14th century.
